English:

English:

"A goat found dead in a barn full of Yams, did not die because of hunger."

"Onye choro ka Oha gwa ya Okwu, n'esi n'mpi egbu Ehi"


English:

"He who wants people to say something, starts killing a cow from the horns"

Igbo:

"Akwukwo juru n'ohia, ma a baa a choba okazi."


English:

"There are various leaves in the bush, but people keep looking for okazi leaves."

"Otu Osisi anaghi eme ohia."


English:

"A tree cannot make a forest."

"Uzu na-amaghi akpu ogene lee egbe anya n'odu."


English:

"If a pot of wine will cause problems between in-laws, it is better for it to break on the way"
